The Butter Lintel celebrates both the form and ornamental expression on the decorative window lintel found above each house on Beck Road in Hackney, London. The concept for this ring was conceived with a simple principle in that I wanted to create a ring that felt as smooth as butter to your finger, one for the everyday! The ring is made sustainably in London with the most advanced industrial technology, expertise and materials.

Stills from the Next to (Night)Mare Street short film featuring the Butter Lintel. The first part of the film follows a nocturnal character, played by Kevin Adorni, around as it enters a small Victorian bubble, Beck Road in Hackney. This characters’ only intention is to find a suitable location for its urban interventions as it drifts into the street. The ornamental lintel above each window might just be the right location.
View FilmThe second part of the short film, Next to (Night)Mare Street, observes the nocturnal character as it starts to place and insert its 3d-printed interventions into the existing stone lintels of Beck Road. Each piece is a small dedication to the commercial shopfronts on Mare Street, perpendicular to Beck Road.
